Windsor, Stonehenge, & Oxford

Today Nana and Papa and I went on another bus trip to Windsor, Stonehenge & Oxford. I was most looking forward to seeing Stonehenge because it was something I have been wanting to photograph before we left London. We boarded the bus at 7:20 AM and headed to Windsor.  While Nana and Papa toured the castle I wandered the town and did some shopping....since I have been on the castle tour twice already.

I sat at a coffee shop on this chilly winter day and had a lovely view of the Crooked House of Windsor.

The town of Windsor.

Then we boarded the bus around 11:30 with our lunches and ate on the way to Stonehenge. It was really windy and cold when we got there so we didn't tour too long. Just long enough to walk the perimeter and take some great shots!

The beautiful sheep pastures in the surrounding area. This is a monument out in the English countryside and took us about an hour and a half drive from Windsor.

From the center of Stonehenge the mid-summer solstice sun rises directly over the heel stone.

After a quick visit to Stonehenge we boarded the bus for our final excursion to Oxford. When we arrived we opted to take the optional tour of Christ Church, one of the 38 colleges at the University.

On our tour one of the stops was the dining hall at Christ Church where they filmed some scenes at Hogwarts from the Harry Potter films.

 The streets of Oxford.

On our way back into London we passed by Harrods Department store with it's beautiful lights twinkling!
