Sorrento/Amalfi/Positano/Ravello - Day 5

Today we got up bright and early to meet our bus for the tour up the Amalfi Coast. We went with the tour company, Golden Tours and had a great guide, Luca and driver, Nello! Nello kept us safe all day driving on these roads! We could not believe how these drivers take these coach busses up these extremely steep and tight roads. We stopped first for a picture of Positano, because the bus couldn't even go into the town the roads are so small. Then we stopped for a cafe and bathroom break at a great scenic overlook.

When we got to Amalfi we boarded a boat for a tour along the coast and into some of the emerald grottos. 

When we returned back to Amalfi from the boat tour we had some time to walk around and explore the city and the beaches.

There was even a lady entertaining a swim!

After Amalfi we climed the mountain on the bus to Ravello and had a few hours of free time to have lunch and walk around.  I had one of the most amazing pannis I have ever had at this restaurant in the middle of town. 

 I found Ravello to be one of the most picturesque towns we had visited thus far.

It was a long day, 8 AM to 5:00 PM, but well worth the trip along the coast.
