In the Night Garden Live!

I decided to take Owen to see his first live show. He has been watching this British TV show called "In the Night Garden," which is just as creepy as can be....but he loves it! We left Lucy with the nanny and took off on our adventure.  Lucy and I have been getting a lot of one-on-one time together while Owen has been in school so Owen was due for some. We rode the big red "BUS" to the show.

Disclaimer:  All of these photos were taken with my blackberry phone so the quality wasn't the best.  We weren't allowed to bring cameras into the theatre.

Owen when he saw the red bus arrive!

Sitting on the big red bus.

His snack before the show.

Owen hugging Igglepiggle at the mall before the show.

Owen and Igglepiggle!

The light wand I had to buy or the entire hour would've been miserable.  They really stick it to the parents....once one kid had one....everyone in the place had to have one.

Owen did really well and sat on my lap mesmerised for the entire 50 minute show!  We had a great day out.

Weekend Activities!

(Owen 2 Years, Lucy 10 Months)

Lucy, Owen and I went on some adventures of our own this weekend.  I have been wanting to check out the local farmers market for awhile now so we headed there bundled for winter!  Bought some great brie and local tomatoes.  Owen enjoyed a grilled ham and brie sandwich for lunch and even ate several of the tomatoes.  He also ate salmon for dinner that night which really surprised me...maybe he is starting to branch out.  The salmon was not in nugget form either!

What weekend is not complete without a trip to the playground!

.....and just some messing around in the house!  Owen and Lucy are really starting to play more together and I just love watching them interact.

Bed Head!

Owen you are not supposed to be doing that and you know it!

Who will be our little laxer??

New Obsession

I need another online obsession as much as I need another child right now!  I have found an amazing site that oozes creativity!  Pinterest

On this virtual pin board you can pin anything, products, pictures, guides, etc. and follow people who's style and ideas you like! It is a great spot for inspiration for recipes, interior design, DIY projects, photography and much much more!  I LOVE it and am addicted, like I needed another outlet to suck time!

Mistakes

As we raise our second child and our first child gets a bit older we realize there were a few minor "mistakes" we made with the first that we are trying to correct with the second. For some reason these revolved mainly around eating habits.

1) Owen will not take bites of food. This is largely because we cut everything up into tiny bite sized pieces for him since he was able to feed himself for fear he would choke on anything and everything.

2) Owen also does not prefer to use utensils. This is largely because we didn't allow him to use them early on for my own personal reasons, frankly I didn't want to clean up the mess which went along with the "learning" process.

So with Lucy we are trying to correct a few things....

I decided to give her an entire half of a bagel....and look at that...she takes bites of it.  Then we gave her a spoon...watch out!

And just another cutie pie picture of her little naked rump....I couldn't resist!

My Little Lucy

This week Owen has been in school for an hour each day during his settling in period. There isn't time to do much in between dropping him off and picking him back up. So Lucy and I have been going on some little adventures...and of course taking some pictures!

Lucy gets to ride in the top seat once we drop Owen off! Look how excited she is to finally see the world!

I took Lucy to Regents Park to take some pictures.  This little lady will be walking any day now!

Then I took Lucy to the Boathouse Cafe for a little shortbread snack.

I can stand!

Lucy is going to be walking any day now....watch out!  So far she is trying out her standing on anything she can.

This is how I found her when she woke up in her crib.

I just had to add this one.  Her brother is always helping his little sister when she loses her binky!  He always takes such good care of her.

2nd Day of School

Some pictures from the 2nd day of school and Owen's uniform.  He was very tired today.

Nanny Lauren was there this morning before school.
