1st Day of School

Well, the day has come.  Owen's first day of school.  I can't believe he is going off on his own, it feels like we just brought him home from the hospital.  My baby boy is growing up.

His backpack that he has no interest in and would not wear.

But Lucy loved it!

Breakfast and the backpack...he showed no interest in either one.

One last picture with mom..

Getting ready to go!

Owen's new school.

Lucy and I dropped Owen off and we had the option of staying or leaving.  Owen took off through the door and never looked back so we said goodbye and left him on his own.  We took a little coffee break at the Starbucks and went back to pick him up.

We brought him a cookie as a reward for being so good at school.  His teachers said he had a blast and did really well!  Now it is time for a nap!

They put his name tag on his back because he kept taking it off of the front of his shirt.  We picked up his uniform today....so stay tuned for some pictures tomorrow!

Portobello Market

Today we ventured down to Portobello Market in Notting Hill.  It is a great market with antiques, jewelry, souveniers and food.  Owen and Lucy ate their way through the market starting with waffles then fruit.  We even came home with a few treasures!

Owen noticed the "clocks"!

Owen was in heaven with the fruit!
A few of our purchases..

A day is not complete without a trip to the playground!  Owen cannot sit in a stroller all morning so we stopped at the playground on the way home so he could burn off some energy.
Notice the shirt we bought for Owen...apparently not in the right size.  He didn't seem to mind.

Am I a bad mother???

Please don't judge....you haven't lived with Owen.

Uh Oh...

Well, we knew the day would come...and it has.  Owen has successfully climbed out of his crib consecutive times.  It happened during his nap today and it has been a long afternoon of returning him to his bed.  He finally took a short nap, but it was not enough....we have a tired boy on our hands.  We will see what tonight brings.

Wednesday at the Zoo

When we just don't have anything going on...we head to the London Zoo.  With our annual pass we can go for an hour and just wander.  No crowds and no lines!  Finally, Owen is starting to stop and notice some of the animals.  When we first started coming he was only interested in the playground...we thought we had just bought a pass to the most expensive playground in London!

Riding the Bus!
....and the fire truck.
