Windsor, Stonehenge, & Oxford

Today Nana and Papa and I went on another bus trip to Windsor, Stonehenge & Oxford. I was most looking forward to seeing Stonehenge because it was something I have been wanting to photograph before we left London. We boarded the bus at 7:20 AM and headed to Windsor.  While Nana and Papa toured the castle I wandered the town and did some shopping....since I have been on the castle tour twice already.

I sat at a coffee shop on this chilly winter day and had a lovely view of the Crooked House of Windsor.

The town of Windsor.

Then we boarded the bus around 11:30 with our lunches and ate on the way to Stonehenge. It was really windy and cold when we got there so we didn't tour too long. Just long enough to walk the perimeter and take some great shots!

The beautiful sheep pastures in the surrounding area. This is a monument out in the English countryside and took us about an hour and a half drive from Windsor.

From the center of Stonehenge the mid-summer solstice sun rises directly over the heel stone.

After a quick visit to Stonehenge we boarded the bus for our final excursion to Oxford. When we arrived we opted to take the optional tour of Christ Church, one of the 38 colleges at the University.

On our tour one of the stops was the dining hall at Christ Church where they filmed some scenes at Hogwarts from the Harry Potter films.

 The streets of Oxford.

On our way back into London we passed by Harrods Department store with it's beautiful lights twinkling!

Drew's Favorite Pub in London

This is the scene of the "Red Lion Fridays" which was established by my husband while living in London. What more can I say, other than I had to get a picture.

Christmas Day 2011

We woke up Christmas morning with Lucy a about 6:45 AM and Owen got up shortly after. Just in time for me to capture his reaction! Lucy had much more interest in the presents and Owen didn't care much about the presents until they were open!

Owen loved all the toys he got with "doors."

Papa made us breakfast!

Owen and Lucy both opened their handknit gifts from Nana. They both got beautiful sweaters and hats to match.

Lucy liked her hand puppets, cow and duck....but she likes ducky the most.

Owen needed a break from the festivities so he took a rest.

More toys with "doors."

Lucy got her giggle pet and a tea set. She is still not too sure about the giggle pet.

Owen loved the big red bus from Harrods that Nana and Papa got him and Lucy. Right now he says to Lucy, "share" when what he really means is please leave me alone to play with this toy.

Owen got some big boy undies!
 They look great!

Lucy got her first dollhouse, which was Owen's favorite present.

Dada and Papa putting together Owen's car ramp.

Lucy eating her shoes.

Our favorite cake maker, Lauren, made us another one of her amazing creations....and it always tastes better than it looks :)
